The newest must ride adventure tour in Costa Rica will knock most peoples socks off. Engineers are hard at work constructing the longest Superman line in the western hemisphere above the Osa Peninsula.
At over 2 kilometers in length it will be approximately twice as long its closest competitor in Costa Rica. With a top speed equal to driving a car in the fast lane on a freeway the ride will last about 2 minutes. In the prone position riders will begin their fast descent from 3,000 feet to 2,000 strapped into a harness.
The cable will take the rider over the canopy of the old growth forest. In other sections the zip line will drop into the trees and go through tunnels cut specifically for the ride. All in all, the experience will be one that leaves people with adrenalin flowing through their body.
The ride is being constructed on land owned by Osa Mountainresort village. The property is already home to one of the most popular attractions in southern Costa Rica called Osa Canopy Tour. Plans to build one of the longest water slides in Costa Rica are also in the works.
